Vibrating / Hairspring Adjusting Watch Tool Looks and Works Great

Description

This is  balance spring or hairspring adjusting tool for watches;  It is made to vibrate hairsprings for the correct timing for most of the vintage American pockets and some wrist watches ( 2.5 HZ, 5 beats per second or 18,000 bph)   The pincers can be adjusted along the x and y axes, up and down by turning the small wheels. When the button at the top is pressed and released, the pincers open and close to allow the test hairspring to be held. The top half of the instrument can then be swung by swinging the small handle back and forth,  the hairsprings are set in motion. The master spring can be stopped by pressing a small button at the side. The nickel coating is in good shape and the tool works fine and in very nice condition.
